ABOUT US

Hi, we are Salted Ink SLC! Before booking, please read through the following to make sure you’re a good candidate for permanent make up. If you’re unsure which service to choose, feel free to email us and we’ll guide you. FAQS AM I A CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLADING + SHADING? Not everyone is a candidate for cosmetic tattooing. Here’s a list of conditions that may disqualify you. If you’re uncertain, don’t hesitate to reach out for more personalized advice. • Botox/Dysport: If you’ve received Botox or Dysport in the last 14 days, you will need to reschedule. It takes 14 days for neurotoxins to fully “set,” and I can’t work on your brows within that time frame. • Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Cosmetic tattooing cannot be performed on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. • Accutane: If you’ve taken Accutane, you must wait at least 12 months before getting cosmetic tattooing. • Skin Conditions: Conditions such as rosacea, acne, sunburn, psoriasis, and others may disqualify you. • Medications: Certain medications (e.g., blood thinners) may make you ineligible for these services. • Age: Clients must be at least 18 years old. WHAT FACTORS WILL AFFECT MY RESULTS? Several factors can impact how your results heal: • Oily Skin: Excess oil can cause hair strokes to blur or fade quickly, or not take at all. • Sun Exposure: Excessive sun exposure will cause your tattoos to fade more quickly. We offer SPF for brows in the studio to help protect them. • Excessive Bleeding: While some bleeding is normal, excessive bleeding can prevent the pigment from settling properly and cause it to heal ashy. To minimize this, avoid blood thinners and alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. • Pre and Post Care: Following my pre and post-care instructions is critical to ensuring your best results. I can control what happens during the procedure, but you need to follow all the steps before and after for the best healing. HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY BROW APPOINTMENT? Proper preparation is key to achieving beautiful long-lasting results. If you don’t follow the pre-care guidelines, you may be asked to reschedule. Here’s everything you need to do: 2 WEEKS BEFORE: • Botox/Dysport: If you get Botox or Dysport regularly, it must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. If you get it within that 14-day window, you’ll need to reschedule. • Waxing/Threading: I recommend coming with your brows grown out so I can shape them during the appointment. If you’d like to clean them up before your visit, please do so at least 2 weeks in advance. If you tint your brows, please do so at least 7 days before your appointment. • Retin-A: Please stop using any Retin-A or similar products around the brow area for 2 weeks before your appointment. 24 HOURS BEFORE: • Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: To minimize bleeding, do not drink alcohol or take blood-thinning medications like Ibuprofen or Advil 24 hours before your procedure. DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT: • Caffeine: It’s okay to have caffeine in the morning, as long as it doesn’t make you jittery or anxious. • Exercise: Please avoid any exercise on the day of your appointment as it can cause excessive bleeding, leading to poor results. • Makeup: You’re welcome to come with or without makeup. If you fill in your brows, feel free to come with them done as it’ll help me see your shape. • Bring Your Brow Makeup: If you have a specific brow product you love, bring it in, and we can match it during the session. We can’t wait to meet you and help you achieve gorgeous brows! Thank you for trusting us with your face – I’m excited to make you feel even more confident and beautiful.
